With the ending of John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum leaving the story on a cliffhanger, audiences are excited to find out what’s next. Unfortunately, John Wick: Chapter 4 isn’t set to arrive until March 24, 2023. As we wait for the film to arrive, Lionsgate is starting to peel back the curtains on John Wick’s highly anticipated return.
The first official photo for the fourth John Wick installment is nothing significant - it shows John taking some time to contemplate something. What we see is a brief reprieve for a man who’s on the run after being hunted down by the world’s finest assassins. Unfortunately, we know little else except that John Wick has had better days. Lionsgate is doing all it can to keep details about John Wick: Chapter 4 under lock and key. Although we did get a glimpse of what it might be called last year, Hagakure. But, one thing for certain is that Ian MacShane’s Winston and Lance Reddick’s Charon are coming back to reprise their roles. A new face in Clancy Brown is joining as well. The incoming actor once mentioned in an older interview that Chapter 4 will go into detail about the “intricacies” of the High Table.

Lionsgate originally planned to film John Wick: Chapter 4 and 5 back-to-back. The former would have come out in 2021 if this pushed through. Unfortunately, the global pandemic forced the studio to change its plans and delay Chapter 4 to 2023. We are hoping that we won’t have to wait for too long for Chapter 5. As for Chad Stahelski, the professional stuntman-turned-director is expected to come back and direct the fifth John Wick movie. Stahelski will also helm the Ghost of Tsushima live-action adaptation for Sony.
