At first glance, the map might seem smaller when compared to The Witcher 3, but this is rightfully so as the “content-filled” Night City has a lot more to offer than just the landscape and exterior beauty. Being a futuristic metropolis, there is a whole lot more verticality going on, as well as a greater amount of well developed interiors waiting to be explored. Additionally, as mentioned above, the Badlands are not represented on the map, but will add a great deal in terms of raw size.

CD Projekt Red already confirmed that Cybperunk 2077 would be a bit smaller than The Witcher 3, but they’ve made up for it by offering a range of content and activities that will keep you busy for hours in the neon-lit streets of Night City. You’ll be able to complete V’s story a bit quicker than Geralt’s adventure, in the hopes that more people will actually see it through to the end, but there will be a ton of side-activities to make up for it. If you are a completionist, your playtime will definitely slip into the hundreds. Taking a closer look at the map, we can also observe that great detail has gone into not just the main cities but also the surrounding isolated areas, that indicate the presence of comprehensive Wilderness.

Cyberpunk 2077 is set to release on Steam and GOG on December 10, 2020, and the developers have been working hard. Just last week they announced a mandatory crunch leading up to the release date.
